My views of marriage |
What really defines a marriage? Ponder that question Think very deep about it Can you answer it? Is a marriage a physical piece of paper used for tax purposes? Or maybe a very strong relationship? Does a male/female union define it? Or can it be any two people who share a love no matter what sex? Many will define a marriage as a male/female union And that is very true I was raised without a religious background But it doesn’t mean I can’t understand where they are coming from I have read The Bible twice in my life I understand that it says a marriage is between a man and a woman I believe there is a verse that reads: “Thou shall not lie with mankind, But with womankind” If you are a devout believer of The Bible Gay marriage is against it I personally am for it I was raised that a marriage is a union A union between two people who truly love each other If two people of the same sex want to marry I’m all for it There are the unfortunate parts of how people use a marriage too I know of a couple that hated each other’s guts They married solely to get a bigger tax deduction It’s technically fraud but there is no way to measure love My personal belief is this As long as you love your significant other You should have the right to marry Regardless of gender of race Personally I feel that my country (USA) Our government is run way too much with a religious mind when it comes to marriage There is to be a separation of Church and State according to the Constitution But they have outlawed gay marriage That to me is basing it off a religious belief This and all of my poems are availaible for retail sale at http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=1372610 |
