The pulse inside her head is loud
as she sits still amongst the crowd;
a life so lived yet short now seems
without the chance to live her dreams.
The sun doth shine with time it gives,
yet through its rays the cancer lives.
She kneels in pain with grief inside,
her tears of rain she does not hide,
Her children play but shan't pretend
their mothers life they can contend.
Now is not the time for fears
as moments pass before her years.
In solemn prayer she lays in bed,
a voice now calming in her head.
Her life is spread beyond the trees
as children’s laughter fills the breeze.
Serenity will find her
as hope is there to guide her.
The sun doth shine with hope it gives,
for through its rays our purpose lives.
Now is not the time for fears
as moments pass before our years.
Serenity will find us,
and hope is there to guide us...
