Today I am Woman
The dainty Lady died in my past life
Feminity is a flimsy memory I dare not entertain
Am I sane or insane, distraught or deranged?

How can I wear short dresses and skirts fussingabout hair, feet and nails
When I am the one to open the mail and tend to the bills. 
He doesn't even know what's what.
He's only concern is What's for breakfast?
I am the only one wondering about broken fixtures and home improvement
And he is the only wondering about what's cooking.

The Lady has been stripped and whipped to submit
for the sake of commit-ment
Meant to serve, sway and bend
Under the hands of a man so lazy and crazy
He doesn't even know where he's going
Trying to lead an entire family while being blinded by one thing
One 4 letter word He doesn't have the nerve to be - KING-

I've never seen a King that does nothing, xcept take out the trash
I've never seen a King that does nothing, to make extra cash
I've never seen a King that didn't dote over his little princess.
I've never seen a King wanting the world while accepting less

So the Queen no longer lives
The lady is no longer sweet; the Lady has died
She died kicking and screaming from so much pain on the inside
