The Girl and the Boy

She sits quiet at her desk

The piece of ice that floated away

She feels so isolated from the rest

Hoping to get back someday



She lays alone on her bed

Clinging to her big stuffed teddy bear

Wishing quietly in her head

Wishing for someone to care



This lonely girl has so much to give

But all she seems to do is sit and cry

She wants not to live

But to say good-bye



But there is this boy she met

He really does understand

She tells him she is upset

And he dismisses her plan



He shows her what really living is like

Helps her settle the score

Helps her to win the fight

Now she is well and doing great
