Lover's Journey

My lover is a gifted man
talented in many a thing
His voice a soft spring zephyr
my heart begins to sing

Poetic verse, from a silver tongue
floats sweetly through the air
Gentle touch with loving fingers
a spell, magic beyond compare

Lips that spread a liquid fire
as our blood begins to pound
Then caught within the tempest
I am quite securely bound

Balanced on high, the precipice
this journey's end is neigh
Safe within my Warrior's arms
we leap, and scorch the sky

Our breathing settles slowly
the souls from clouds return
His whispered words of love
a bellows, as the embers burn
