An old man in the snow

An old man in the winter
Thats standing in the snow

nor hat or gloves hes wearing
but his heart is filled with hope

'cause his dreams to build a house
with a door that he could close

was not far away to be
he could feel it in his toes

one day the door would knock
there was someone by the door

A stranger unfamiliar
with a face that was unknown

The man would wave him in
to feel welcomed in the warmth,

"would you join me for some tea?
please feel as if your home"

The stranger now started crying
so moved he was to tears

"why would someone thats so wealthy,
care for the likes of me?

The man now started thinking
deep in thought he was

not that he was regretting
just searching for the words

"I was once the same as you
without the help of someone kind"

"You see, the man your seeing now
was once an old man in the snow.
