Successful love

Cupping her cheek,
His eyes swelled with vision;
Expanding further
With the knowledge of successful love.
He felt the skin about her neck
And reached down softly,
Blessing it with his lips.
His eyes were closed but he knew she smiled-
He could feel it coursing through her blood
Increasing the heart rate,
Until with his left hand on her chest
It beat in time with his own.
For he was smiling too.
