you all cry

in pain

thinking of nothing

but that pain

there is that one

who you let in

and they came

kicked off their shoes

moved stuff around

broke stuff

played with your insides

bringing you pain

you take it all

because you think it will heal

then they leave

breaking anything else

after that you can't feel

anything, anything you beg

for feeling something

hearing songs that make you cry

crying in bed

anywhere where no one sees

wishing the pain to go away

then out of the connor of your eye

see that one

just one look

for a short second the pain is gone

another look more is gone

day after day

you grow addicted to the softness

but can't help but think

"what if i let that person in"

all the what ifs come to mind

the pain you had to feel

holding you back

a touch on the arm

kind words

you can't just shove them away

all you can do is let the person in

try one last time

beg that it doesn't hurt
