A soldier's poem
I'll fight. I'll fight, until that day
When dawn breaks night with golden rays,
When voices carry across the glades.
And they beat my face with soiled spades.

I'll fight their war. I'll kill their foe,
Though sadness fill my head and toe.
I'll cry my tears, for many a year,
For all those lost which I held dear.

I'll fight their cause. I'll fight their law,
Which they deem fair for one and all.
And when it's done, I'll hear the call,
That freedom stands; Proud and Tall.
