Dear Me,

This year is another round of "new beginnings" in my journey as a writer. In 2005 the Lord told me to "start writng again.," among other things. As I began to do so, in obedience to Him, He put in my mind a peson who had facilitated a Writers' Seminar in 2003. When I got her number, intending to contact her, low and behold , I turned on the raidio to our local gospel radio station, the person was on the programme sharing about the new Christian writers' group she was starting and advertising a meeting for interested persons for the next day. I went, and now am a member of that group. 

So this year, I intend to continue in that vein. I think I started well when I joined Writing.com. This organization is like a second tier in the wedding cake of creative writing horizons for me, the lical Christian writers' group being the first tier.

Another goal that I have already began working towards is applying to do a master's degree in Creative Writing in my local university. I am so excited about this, as I will be doing a lot of writng that will be suited to my country and region. But I also have seen some international writng schools wthat will also teach me to write for the international market, as well as giving me access to international agents, publishers, and other services not available locally.

My loftiest goal (for me that is), is to publish my first book. It is called "Dreams and Deceptions, The Story of Joseph and Jacob." It is based on the lives of the biblical patriarchs Jacob and his son Joseph. I am aso justt started a series of books based on several social topics including child abuse, domestic violence, bullying. II give relevant information for people about the topics, and then I deal with them from a biblical aspect.I posted the opening poem for the booklet on child abuse in my portfolio and got mostly encouraging and constructive reviews. I will put the whole booklet in my portfolio when I'm finished.

Last, but not least, is that to achieve the goal that I've just mentioned, I have begun to save monely. I have an account set up in the name of my "wiiting" company, and every month I hope to put at least $200. I hope to save $2400 by December or before (by the grace of God!. I believe, that if this book writng and publishing project is from God, He iwill provide the finances, people and other resources needed to finish it.

My whole life purpose is to help others know godly living through my writing. With God's guidance  and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, I know that I will be able to fulfill all the "good works" and the plans that He has ordained for my life.
