At birth your journey of life began,
Your desires were not part of the plan.

Too young to express any thought,
Depending on others, freedom never sought.
 
During the teenage years,you know it all,
While being like your friends, never will you fall.

No help needed, the journey now up to me,
I will show everyone what I can be.

Then comes marriage to the love of your life,
Daily, you seem to be dealing with strife. 

Now someone else says what you should do,   
Without your having time to think it through.

In the name of love, you gave your heart and soul,
You have lost it all to the one in control.

Though dreams are gone and self esteem low,
You are still that young person from long ago.

Thinking your journey was up to you,
Now crying out for help, what should I do.

Reach out to God and find your strengths within,
With your head held high, it's time for your life to begin.
