A FORBIDDEN LOVE





Stop if for thou a nefarious angel

Relentlessly tormenting my conscience with your divinity

Omnipresent even when I do not seek thee

Contorting my very sanity ‘till it is left in a mangle

Forever I must flee

However held steadfast in thee



In this realm a place ne’er exist

To safeguard against thy tantalizing game

Eternally engulfed by amiable pain

Even though language ne’er escape your lips

Spawned my mental hell, an endless abyss



‘Tis possible for any man to survive

With one leg cemented, his brother in mid-leap

‘Tis possible to visualize from whence these emotions derive

How the lust for thee became so deep



Every time my eyes rest upon thee

Every time my mouth cries your name

Every time I try to contain

Every time I think of thee

No other falls near

‘Tis this I fear



To succumb to your wish is unbearable

For treason against the mind is far too grotesque

Nor shall my mouth protest

For no matter how desirable

How tenderly bitter sweet

Ne’er shall our lips meet
