When the pretending is over...


On Empty
Damn it, I wish I didn’t know,
It makes no difference in my life.
It can’t help me grow.
So my heart loves, my soul burns empty.
I feel foolish for expressing myself,
putting my thoughts down on paper.
What good will it do me? I wish he didn’t know,
then I could go back to pretending
and everything would be fine.
