this is just a story for a contest
Running down the forgotten path, with my long flowing wedding dress close behind. I ran. I ran away from the fears of being tied down. I loved Michael; he was everything to me, my prince charming. I want to be married to him but not at my young age. I was 22, fresh out of college now I was going to be brought into this world of sharing bills, a house and children. I didn’t want that not yet. That’s why I was running. I ran so deep into the woods there was no sign of life or an exit. I stopped, and as I did I heard a small voice. I looked all around expecting a child to be near me. “Hey down here.” I looked all around and see a tiny fairy sitting on a beautiful African Moon flower. “Hello? Who are you?” I questioned her wanting to know more. “I’m Aldora, the fairy princess of the land Thalia. My daddy is the fairy king; I am running away too, as are you. What are you running from might I ask?” “I…. I am getting married but how are you real? Fairies don’t exist. I need to go.” I stammered. What if there are other creatures in this forest that may try to get me. Kidnap me? I would never be able to see Michael or anyone in my family again. “Goodbye little fairy. I hope your problems get better.” Running out of the woods I knew this was a dream! I had to wake myself up. Maybe I could fall? That would wake me up. I trip over my on two feet. It wasn’t. I just spoke to a fairy. My wedding will be going on in a few hours I must get back. Tell Michael; this wedding non-sense is just not for me. Not now at least.
