Poem about life, love, freedom, and respect. |
""The Immortal Spider" Traveling farthest for any life. Landing on pumice to start my strife. Smelling a native scent that is pure. Hunting hungry I need to endure. Every soul has nourishment in mind. This place is vacant of my strong kind. The wilderness edge has a reward. A juicy nymph to fill my large hoard. A jungle so huge and hardly here. I fell from the sky without a fear. Armed with defense my lair is up high. My soul is dauntless so do not try. My arrival stated by a storm. Experience given to each form. Unchallenged I grow from my design. This space is mine by a simple line. Life is given to share all of my worth. True even here so far from all birth. Working alone I learn not to fret. Confounding this world within my net. Proof I am more than my very thought. Lovely creature all life has just brought. Sprung I court her with all natural charm. I dance and sway to present no harm. Open approach in her I confide. I feel all shared life is made to glide. We tangle and tussle in sweet mist. Life is to salvage a lovelorn twist. All exhausted and having enough. I leap from her bite and love so tough. Back in my place I rest in this lair. Knowing my offspring will drift in air. Freedom unique for once I shall live. Where count every other life to give? Each life is rare even wrapped in twine. So many must search and some are mine. Wonderful to know I am out there. I hope each one knows how much I care. Share the air. YAE3170" |
