Math class muse. Go easy on me, it's a little shoddy but it served the purpose.
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

But were it to carry my heart's defeat,

that briliant, shining, yet succinct,

syllable of endless treat

were it it's name but Jade,

then surely it would be doubly sweet,

yet slower to fade,

an endless rush on a summer day.

The sun's warm glow, one could surmise,

would linger more, and not disguise

it's affection for such perfect beauty;

the undeniable task of it's fair duty

to love and stay; to shine through darkest night.

What providence! When together go one's duty and delight.

Were it it's name but Jade,

Then the sun should be as lucky as I,

and as thou, the rose as precious a maid.
