A man is tired of living and seeks out help to end it all
Oh dear faerie,
With wings soft and frail,
Please grant me but one wish
After listening to my tale.

My life is empty,
But a hole is left of my heart.
Woe is me, dear faerie,
End my misery, help me depart.

All I taste is the salt of my tears
True they are so bitterly cold.
In this world I am all alone
And I will be until I grow old.

Oh faerie, oh please set me free!
I would rather see hellfire
Than my dreams destroyed before me.

Yes, dear faerie
Let me sleep in placid eternal slumber.
Take my mortality this form of mine
Among all the brush and the lumber.

With a wave of your silver scythe,
Let me rest in sweet strife.
