A short poem reflecting apocalyptic thoughts and questions.
The darkest days of unforeseen gloom--
Could they be upon us soon?
Are we traveling in the wrong direction,
And hastening impending doom?

I shall answer my own question
And state that we are.
Disaster is observed here and afar,
From which I've been haunted,
And our populace has been scarred.

I am blind, as this is a world of little light.
An important barrier has been blurred,
The one between wrong and right.
But evil never fails to expose itself,
And it's easily seen as what I need to smite.

So let's act justly; expect no meed!
Scream it, sing it, must I plead?
Certainly there will be restitution;
Angels will rejoice with me!

For I will glimpse down to Earth and smile,
Now, she is free!
