A hyperbole relating love to a weekend.
My love is a weekend
too far away to reach.
My love is weakened
by lack of peace.

Monday's dark is all
and then there was light.
Through time I continueously fall
alone, no longer night.

Tuesday I began to drown
and then there was land.
No longer did sea hold the crown
yet I still felt damned.

Wednesday is horrid
and then grew flora.
It was just as morbid
with a thornéd aura.

Thursday returned night
and then there was day.
The world's tilt caused a fright
because of the seasonal array.

Friday I was hungry
and then there were animals.
Game to be hunted with revelry
creating bestial perils.

Saturday was lonely
and then there were humans.
I enjoyed each wholly
but a fruit sent God a 'fumin

Sunday was exhausting
and then came sleep.
Like winter's daily frosting
and in the snow we sank deep.

The weekend passes quick
like the loving crack of a whip.
