The reason I was there that day
Ready to die, to steady the pain
Was because I had lost my madness
And lost you too along the way.

It was a cold rainy night
I looked down only to find
No one was there, including you
Just space, and a hard death.

I sat down and hugged my knees
Waiting for you to come
Nothing to feel, hear, or see
My life was completely empty.

I waited till morning
Refusing to believe
You were not real
You would never come to me

So I closed my eyes
And hoped to fly
Into my arms
And jumped down...
