A wish crushed by the unchanging destiny.
Longing Pain of Distance

No matter how hurt I’ am,
I can’t put into words how I feel.
I’m in a small town,
And I shed never ending tears.

Days that I cant see you,
Are a test,
A test of my feelings.

Why don’t we know,
What we have received…
Until the end?
Until we have built up a wall,
And our blessing has run for a distance.
An end of its presence.

When I was with you,
I felt my best,
But you left.

I was halted by my own blockade.
A wall of solid stone arrogance,
And self-centered, prideful mortar.

Truth be told,
I would have blindly searched.
Frantically following a diminishing scent.
Even in the empty black voids of space,
Until I found you.

I hate to admit it,
But those were my feelings.
If I could turn back the fingers of time,
Destroy the posts of unchanging destiny,
And lay down posts of changing fate.

I would work my fair share.
But much more,
Not until my body lay down,
Withered, chipped, cracked, and shattered.
I would observe,
Noticing subtle gifts and expressions.
Giving back thoughts, gestures, and thanks.

I would make the right decision,
I would choose you.
Hysterically grasping my faith,
Faith in binding words,
The final “I do”.
