Sun shines warmly against azure blue sky Plush green grass beckons a soft breeze Children bronzed and reddened dance Laughing, running, jumping and rolling Sun smiles Wind tickles Earth embraces her children's joy. They are One Angry waters rush slamming fists of rage Dark ominous creatures fight his crests Pale figures crouch low in its belly Listening, wailing, praying and hoping Sky weeps Wind thrashes Earth silently awaits the creature's cargo They bring the One Bronzed and reddened open arms Dancing, singing, feasting and trading Young ones smile Elders teach the circle path Sun warms Wind kisses Earth embraces her new children They believe they are One Pale ones whisper in the dark Longing for lives lost to the voyage Fearful, tired, forlorn and weak They do not hear, they do not see Expectation shattered Spirit lost Beseeching prayers carried to moonlit Sky Pleadings to the One Pale ones battle the angry waters once more No longer wanting to learn, only to take Death, destruction, contempt and power Legacy follows to this new land Sky darkens Wind dies Earth wails and embraces the lives of her people They are One |
