At night when it’s quiet and I lay my head to rest
I go to a place, a place I call best.
It’s all mine, it’s quiet with no sound
I go where I want here, where my feet don’t touch ground.
It’s a peaceful place it is my own
I’ve brought it to life, I call it my home.
I can’t take you there no matter the cost
Because when I wake up all of it is lost.
There are bright lights with a winding river
The water so cold it makes you shiver.
The sky is so blue, it’s almost clear
When looking at it, everything around you will disappear.
The grass is smooth like a grain of sand
If you seen it you’d understand.
There are no disruptions so I’m all alone
Not even a TV or a telephone.
It’s cool and calm with a little breeze
I lie on my back and stare at the trees.
Leaving it behind, I can’t say what I feel
But I know I’ll go back, where it all seems so real.
