Different But United

He's grape juice, Dr Pepper and milk. I'm coke, coffee and tea. He's Rush Limbaugh I'm NPR. He likes one or two types of ice cream, I'm interested in most flavors. No pies for him or fancy cakes, I love them all. No sleeping late for him( he calls 6:45 a.m. sleeping in); I'm partial to at least 10:30 a.m.. Fancy salads stay far from his taste buds, I'm attracted to them like a magnet. He's to bed at 10:00 p.m., I stay up as near the witching hour as physically possible. I've been known to have crackers on my side of the bed, his taquito is before he goes to bed. He kindly bares the brunt of negative peoples criticism, I methodically don my boxing gloves. I love a ride in the country, he loves to watch people. Finally, 'he's a creature of habit', I'm all about spontaneity. So it's hard too understand why couples leave each other on the grounds of incompatibility. Though we're different as night and day on many counts we love who we are inside, allow room for and respect the differences, 'we have each others back', and even when the clash may cause a burst of anger one important thing we have in common is we we quickly apologize and forgive, no matter who's to blame. I'm not saying it's an easy thing to have this stick-to-it-tive-ness but oh! it's worth the effort!
