Fade To Black

I am very rarely depressed, usually I'm a very upbeat outgoing person. One day I had the good old fashioned 'dolldrums', and felt down. This poem came to me,,,,

Fade To Black

Fade to black, slowly dissolve, then disappear.
My life has been good, I’ve lived many wonderful years.
But I know I have many more yet to live,
So much to see and do, so much to give.

I long to see the ocean once again,
To walk in the waves and understand.
That we are insignificant in this world without end,
We live.... we die.... maybe remembered by friends.

I would love to be forever free,
Feel my spirit as it rises and leaves me.
I dream of a world that knows only good,
I’d change it all, if only I could.

But fade To black? Not so fast!
I’m very alive, though many days have passed.
Fade To black? One day I’m sure I will.
But for now I live....
And Love....
And to all others give....
