Recently I turned down a job in the US
I love the US and miss my family very much. I have been wanting to come back to the US to live and work, thus making me closer to my aging parents. It has been a long time since we have all been together to catch up on family matters and gossip. Ditto for some of my childhood friends that I grew up with and haven’t seen in over 10 years.

I turned down a job paying a little over $25.00 an hour because I felt that it was not sufficient to live successfully in the US. This may seem like an oxymoron statement because I know that there are hordes of families living in the US that make less and survive. Or should I say make ends meet?

It cost money to live no matter where you live at; that is a given. However, I want to do better than live paycheck to paycheck. I am sorry to think that America has created a sort of recompense society that has made into law such necessities as insurance. Insurance is perhaps a means to defeat the cost of medical attention, but at $136.00 per week seems just to exorbitant to me. The health insurance along would cost me $7072.00 per year. I currently pay less than $1000.00 per year.
