Chapter Ten Hitting the other werewolf was like hitting a brick wall; Willow staggered back from the wolf exasperated with a clump of fur and flesh hanging from her mouth. The shaggy wolf snarling before her yowled to the sky and toppled her over with fury in his eyes. She fell over, hitting her head hard on the rocky earth. He bit shallowly into her neck and she screeched as the pain flooded her brain, and forced him off of her with her hind legs. After regaining her balance she pounced on him and sunk her teeth into his own neck, biting deeper then her had. His howl rang in her ears as she raked his belly with her sharp claws; he somehow managed to slither out of her tight grip, and ran into the brush nearby, whining. She stood still for a few seconds trying to assess her dripping neck wound and knew that it could become fatal even though it was rather shallow. But, she didn't have time to worry about the injury; werewolves were fighting everywhere around her, and she should do the same. At the top of the hill ahead of her she saw Vaughn and Killian ordering their werewolves what to do; if any werewolf tried to come near them they were immediately eliminated. If I could just somehow manage to injure, or even kill one of them, if I'm lucky enough, then I'm sure their wolves will get uneasy after realizing that one of their commanders was hurt, Willow thought to herself. Without thinking things through anymore, she raced head on to where Vaughn and Killian stood; along the way she dodged every werewolf in her way, and they didn't notice her until their chance of attacking her was gone. She leaped over the growling wolf, that was meant to protect his leaders, in front of the two vampires and landed on Killian. She bit into his neck as hard as she could, but then she felt his pointy nails dig into her shoulder as he removed her from his neck and pierced her previous wound with his razor sharp fangs. She shrieked louder then she had ever done before. He shoved her off of himself and she collapsed onto the forest floor whimpering. Her vision began to blur, but she could still make out Killian struggle to his feet, hissing as he clutched the new injury she had given him. Suddenly, she felt searing pain shoot through her body from the black crescent moon on her forehead; she gritted her teeth and closed her eyes. She felt a wet drop fall on her cheek followed by thunder shaking the earth; the horrible pain ceased and she sank into deep blackness. ~♥~ Alex watched in horror as Killian rolled Willow's limp body off of his own, and he howled loud in fury, feeling heat flow through his veins from the white crescent moon in between his eyes. He rushed past all the other werewolves, and, with murder shining in his green eyes, jumped onto Killian's back, raking it with his claws as profound as he could. He sank his teeth into the skin on his shoulder and tore it away; he yelled in agony, and then Alex felt Vaughn break his grasp off Killian and he flung him through the air. Alex heard the wind whoosh through his ears as he flew through the air; he hit the ground and got back up instantly, fired up by the adrenaline. Baring his teeth at the two vampires, he finally noticed that the rain was actually a deep purple; he looked up in the, what he thought was, dark sky to find that a bright lavender light was shining over the clearing, blinding everyone. The thunder was now deafening as he saw small circular white transparent clouds zoom past him; one went right through Vaughn and Killian and they instantly evaporated right in front of him. He watched as the rest of the werewolves fighting on the field also disappeared in the same fashion as the two vampires had gone. However, he noticed that the only wolves remaining on he field were himself, Willow, Jeremy, and Lily. ~♥~ “Wake up.....wake up for it is not yet your time....” Willow heard a faint voice say in the distance. She slowly lifted her drooping eyelids and discovered that she was lifted up in a mass of white puffy clouds. Before her was a white almost transparent female werewolf that looked exactly like her, minus the black crescent on her forehead. “Who are you? Where did everyone go? What's happening?” Willow demanded all at once. The other werewolf said nothing, but instead walked over to her and touched her nose to the moon glowing on her forehead. She hadn't realized this before, but Willow had felt very light and airy when she'd woken up. Now that the strange wolf standing in front of her had touched her forehead, she felt warmth and blood flow through her veins. After the procedure had finished her eyes were immediately shut tight; she tried to continuously open them up again, but they wouldn't budge after they'd been closed. Finally, when she could reopen her eyes, she found herself laying on the same battlefield she'd previously been on, but it was different. Before her she saw the bloodstained grass was only occupied with four werewolf bodies: hers, Lily's, Jeremy's, and Alex's. ~♥~ (End of chapter ten until I finish the rest of it.) |
