The Bliss I thought I had

How do you start a story when you yourself don't have the faintest idea of what really happened.

All I know is that I was a very happy and contented person. Or so I thought. I was never really someone who mixed or even talked to someone easy . It all seems as if that part wasn't for me. I fall in love or so I thought. What a wake up call it turn out to be.

I joined the Police force hoping for some adventure and a few intriguing life lessons.

I gave my all,but what was the outcome. A loner still searching for what I thought was a bliss.

Part 1

It's Monday morning and as usual I have to wake up and get myself ready to go to work. "Mommy " a sweet voice enterrupted my thoughts. "Yes,dear !" I mumbled and stood up. I walked down the small passage on my way to my daughter's room. As I pass by the big mirror, I stop for a second or two and starred straight into it. Who is this person I see? I wonder. Where is the smile that used to fill the eyes ... where is the softness of the young that was once so beautiful. I shrug, What became of the real me? All I see is a woman and all the signs of emotional baggage. "Mommy ,where are you?"

"Yes , my angel " I said. "Are we still going to Francy's birthday party tonight,"she asked as she stare up at me. Gosh! It totally slip my mind "Yes, off-cause sweetheart. We must still go buy a present this afternoon after work."
"Good-morning, morning everyone ... where's my morning kiss from the most beautifull angel on the planet? "

"Good-morning,Angela" I said as my daughter run to greet her favourite aunt. "Morning ,aunt Angie" Stephanie says and give Angela a big kiss on the cheek. "I'm going to Francy's birthday party tonight," she says as she pick up her backpack and walk towards the door." That's wonderful ,do you have a present for her yet?" "No , but we're going to buy after work, mommy said." " Hurry up guys, it's getting late and you know how hectic the traffic is in the mornings,I said to them."

As we drop Stephanie at the school,Angela turn her head towards meand said,"His in town." "Who?" I asked as I turn to face her while opening the door of the car. "Your ex" ." My what?" "Steven, Maggie , I saw him yesterday at Lukas place, and he wanted to know if you were back in the City."
"No! No ! I feel my heart sunk and my whole body started shivering , It can't be ... He went to London! I said" ,in a voice that did'nt sound like mine at all. "I'm sorry Maggie , but he wants to see you." Angela said.

"You didn't tell him about Stephanie?Please tell me you didn't " I said. "He must never ,never ,never know." I uttered .

"No, off-cause not." Angela said. "It's not my place to say anything." "Good , I don't want him to ever find out." I sigh and got into the car." " As your sister and friend I can only suggest this, You have to let him know... after all he is Stephie's dad!"
Why? after all this time he's suddenly back. It didn't bother him when he left without so much as a word to me. I was good enough for him when he needed me. I'm sorry I won't allow him to disrupt my life again or even Stephanie's.
