Tired of being labled and categorized. I want to feel women are a whole not color defined. |
An Angry Black Women by: Annette Jones An angry black woman.... That's all you see...... Independent, strong minded, opinionated, class, sass..... That's me.... An angry black woman stop insulting me..... I allow no drama, take no mess.... You label me, categorize me.... I'm disappointed that the black man can't handle me. Be proud of what your black women came out to be. I'm elegant with grace, dripped in color from my head down to my base. Strict with structure, heart of goal. Hard when I have to be, never cold. You mistake angry for no tolerance of deceit, betrayal, Purposely creating pain..... I'm sorry that’s how we have always ran the game. We are strong..... So strong...... We take, take till we can't take anymore. When we are feed up, call you on your deceit. You label us as an angry black woman. Please..... How dare you curse me in so many ways.... When your black women was with you in slavery days. We create your children, we inspire, keep you strong. All you can say is angry black women. That’s all.... Doctors' say its a syndrome. Can you believe..... A cycle it seems of strongness you should be please. To know that no one could ever make us weak. Put us in a ring trust we could never be beat. Stop with the ridicule, names, syndromes, all that mess. We are your strong, independent, strongly opinionated, beautiful black women, class, style, finesse. Don't get it twisted we will never take any mess. Call it what it may be...... Never call us an angry black woman..... That's not us as a whole, that's not me. I'm your soul sista that's all it should be. Poetic |
