A short story about a girl who used to be fearless.
My name is Chris, which is short for Christine, and I'm sixteen. It was just a few weeks ago when I was fearless. I was afraid of nothing. But everything changed on my sixteenth birthday.
On that day a strange black crow approached me. "Why do you not have any fears?" I had no time to answer it. Once I opened my mouth everything when dark. I couldn't see a thing. When I could see again I found myself in a white room. The only furniture was the hard plastic chair I sat on.
The crow landed on my shoulder. "Watch," it told me. So I did. Before me appeared my friends. I smiled and tired to say hey but their sad facial expressions prevented me from doing so. "Why?" they asked. One by one their heads were cut away from their bodies. Blood splattered everywhere. It was disgusting. My eyes were wide opened and tears were running down my eyes.
Next were my parents. They were both sliced in half. "STOP! PLEASE! ENOUGH ALREADY! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" The crow ignored me. Next he killed my boyfriend. He was shot in his dick then his heart. But the worst was to come. My three months old sister. "NO! NOT HER! PLEASE! I'M BEGGING YOU!" No matter how much I begged the crow wouldn't listen to me. I wanted to run up and escape with her so badly but my body wouldn't move. My tears continued to run and I continued to cry and beg.
He glared at my crying sister. A tank of water surrounded her. She was going to drown! "NOOO!!!!" I cried. After two minutes, she died. I quieted down a bit after a while. But I was still sobbing. The crow flew away and I head a BANG! There was a huge pain in my chest. I had been shot. I fell to the floor and died there.
My eyes shot open. I was in my room. I quickly jumped off my bed and ran around the house. Everyone was safe. I smiled and dropped to my knees crying. I was so glad. Everyone was okay and it had all been a dream. Thank you God.
And so from that day onwards, I developed a fear of death and loneliness. You could be living one moment and the next you find yourself dead or alone or someone you love dearly dead. Those fears changed me. From those fears I learn I had something I wanted to protect and something I wanted to live for. Life.
