A Soul like Rivers

She had eyes like marbles
void of life and feeling
but they filled those sockets perfectly
reflecting light that my brain saw as beautiful

She had a voice like static
that never said much
but the white noise dancing in my ear
could always help me relax

She had a heart like a wrecking ball
always ready for brutal impact
It could tear down the strongest man
but it could never break

She had a soul like rivers
always running down hill
I got swept away by the current
and I fear that I may drown
