The Writing Poem

                                                                            I sit here and think about what I want to write

                                                                                    There is nothing I can think of

                                                                                          Nothing at all to type

                                                                          A butterfly isn't so original, the sun is too easy

                                                                                    Flower poems are so common

                                                                                    That they start to get cheesy

                                                                        I could write a poem about the ocean or space

                                                                                      Nope. I already wrote those

                                                                                      I'm thinking at a slow pace

                                                                        What the heck am I supposed to write? What?

                                                                                      The sky is blue with clouds?

                                                                                          My poodle is a mutt?

                                                                        I'm not that good with words, as you can see

                                                                                        It's hard for me to rhyme

                                                                      I'm not that good with poems..... see what I mean?

                                                                              That's it! I've got it! I know what to write!

                                                                                          I'll write about writing!

                                                                                        I can finally see the light

                                                                        I put my fingers on the key board, ready to type

                                                                                          Darn you, cursed brain

                                                                                    I forgot what I wanted to write.
