MAMA SAID
When mama said:

"little boys don't do

this nor that!"

she stole confidance

and uniqueness.



When mama said:

"little boys don't giggle,

no way, no how!"

she took the glow

and bright smile.



when mama said:

"little boys don't cry!"

tears dried-up

I kept everything

inside.



my mother loved me

I know she did.

but she took from me

everything that made

me; me instead.

and dance!"

she stole one joy,

an awesome dream.
