AT THE END OF THE DAY Will it make a difference at the end of the day, the things that we do and the things we say? Will it matter that we don't take time to listen, as the tears on a child's face begin to glisten? An old couple goes for a walk, hand in hand, Life's been hard for them, but they understand. They've lost a son in the war, but they remember with pride in his service, just this last December. Another young man has been pushed to the brink, so he walks into a tavern for something to drink. Will it make a difference that somebody cares, that he is still kept close in somebody's prayers? What a miracle it makes at the end of the day, that love will find us, and we'll find some way to reach out and touch a life that became numb; It matters, yes, it matters so very much to some!. The difference between a smile and a frown can turn someone's day from an up to down. How much does it matter, the chance to give some joy to someone who's forgotten to live? At the end of the day, the difference it makes will make a difference to all, for Heaven's sakes! So go spread some cheer while the day is new, It will brighten up their lives, and yours, too! LIVE IN PEACE, SHARE A SMILE! Countrymom 11/13/10 |
