Crissy sat in the window seat of the small cottage style B & B, sipping her breakfast tea and staring out at the sun coming up over the vast, rolling, green hills that seemed to go on forever. The way the sun hit the mist still in the air from the night was breathtaking. The sun slanted across the sky in such a way it seemed to turn everything it touched into gold. Off in the distance she could see where the cold, grey, River Shannon split the land in two. The grey, crumbling stone walls that separated the property lines should have been intrusive, but only added to the magic of it all. She could see patches of freesia and larkspur springing up everywhere like weeds. She saw a magpie swoop down across the never-ending land. It was at that moment she realized how small, and insignificant she really was in this world.
