A feeling of belonging set within
the arms of your love I am held,
and when the night comes to a close,
as do my eyes. I see only the beautiful
smile that pushes away my fears.

The tips of my fingers trace your frame,
a silky embrace from the cold nights,
and we are safe. Blanketed not by cloth,
but by the beat of your heart next to mine.

Slowly, as I fall asleep I'm wrapped
tighter in dreams of you and I.
A warm happiness from within
spreads through my arms and legs,
until it reaches my lips.

I smile.

As sleep takes me, my smile remains
and I know when morning comes,
