Just another story. Read and Enjoy. Or not. Your choice...
Written for the Daily Flash Fiction Challenge with a word limit of 300.

The prompts: This story must contain the words: cloud, howl, arrow

Amira

The clouds were a sure sign that there was going to be trouble. They always are in stories like this. The howl that can be heard in the distance can never be a good sign either, but here we are with both the dark clouds and the wolf's howl of pain and the story that they both belong in. Enjoy. Or not. Your choice.

"Oh Amira. You know that you can't win this fight."

"Maybe not, but where's the fun in giving up?" She was scared, but she sure as hell didn't show it.

"My magic against your dagger makes this fight unequally matched, but that's not really my concern now it is?"

Amira smiled. She had more than just a mere dagger, probably a good thing since he was the only magician left in the land. Well... so he thought.

The rain began to pour and the sky went completely dark.

Her first weapon. "You can't kill me if you can't find me."

To his ears, she was everywhere. He cursed under his breath. He wasn't alone. How many years had she kept this a secret?!

Her second weapon. The rain turned to ice and shot straight towards the earth around him. He blocked every piece, but she had him riled up now.

"You WILL NOT win this you little witch!"

"Really?" An arrow pierced his heart and he fell to the ground.

A dark figure now stood behind her.

"You're welcome." A smile appeared on her face again. Her third weapon.

~~~
Now if you think that's the end then you're greatly mistaken, but the rest you will have to make up on your own. Or not. Your choice.
