A poem about the flaws in humankind dealing with our need for food and pain. |
Humans eat food and pain Pain inflicted on oneself for desensitizing And pain inflicted on others for self-gain Within people who deal pain comes sub divisions Those who attain attention And those who harness verbal provisions Again another level separates in spoken violence Those who use other’s pain to cover their own And those who use it as moral defiance And thus food itself is said to be a sin As now societies abused it to make picture perfection thin So are we not allowed to eat in the eyes of religion? Either way it is a sinful decision Because we feed on food and pain These provide nourishment to our unique brain Humans must have a slight bit of insanity To balance out the sanity with venality Because most of us want to give into the fog As we won’t have to try to clear out the smog The ones who eat without remorse Not only do their body’s contours So as a sin that is the glutton As the increase we eat in the mutton Eat in food and eat in pain As the few who were last fall off the lane Either we fall in our life Our religiously fail to the scythe Better to fast in evil wrongs And eat only what truly belongs To us in G-d’s green earth As he looked away to the black we birthed. |
