The village lies in calm this morn
Waiting for the day to dawn
Soon the people come out to see
The sun shine with a cold breeze

The diamonds lie in the fields
Eyes made to take the yield
Strong breeze greets the face
Winter holds in strong embrace

The daily tasks grow to form
How to fight this frigid norm
The longing of a change does bring
Looking forward to the spring

Young hearts make this day
One new in hope to display
Snowmen made to play with care
Longing for the swim made bare

Older hearts turn to seek
The end of the day's peak
The warmth of the house is desired
With a love's embrace inspired
