Words Before My Eyes

Reading word by word and flipping the pages
Oh my! How i could read for ages!

My mind fills with stories of personal commands
Reading this story shows that someone understands

I read to different chapters through and through
These words are my joy i never knew

Take me away books with adventures far, far away!
And make me wonder is the character going to be okay?

Show me true love
That can only happen in the heavens above

Teach us what school will not
And we'll soar up high and never get caught

I thank you books for showing me the way
Taking me away from boring life day to day.
