Pianist to paper

Fingers dance across the keys
Notes fly across the room
A crescendo comes
And her forehead creases with concentration

The tempo goes up
And the music key changes
Turning the music
Into an arabesque

Her body sways back and forth
Her eyes close with relaxation
Becoming papery and white
her shoulders and transform to sharp corners

Her body turns skinny and frail
With nothing to hold her up
She falls
Like paper.
