The Bubble

I yearn to do so many things, to live and love and play,
But all I do is sit in this chair and waste away my day.

Living takes much energy you see, and that's a lot of trouble.
Sitting is much easier on me, as I'm safe inside my bubble.

Loving and being loved would be a wondrous thing to gain,
But loving turns into bickering and it's just not worth the pain.

I do tend to get lonely though and would love to sit and chat,
So if you find yourself in the neighborhood, pay a visit for a spat.

You can tell me of your adventures, of your glories and defeats,
And I can live vicariously and pretend my life is complete.
