"The way to love anything is to realize it might one day be lost."
I bid thee farewell, it shan’t be long
Memories of us burning my eyes
Without meaning
Without grace
Fading cannot be kept controlled
As You and I weren’t meant to hold
To those surrounding, it is not unjust
Silence between, acting as we must
Paid a price
Rolled the dice
The words of regret never touched my lips
Though have mercy upon this fragile wish
Never forget
The crime we both share
Of loving too deeply,
Without knowing how not to care
The words left unspoken
Neither wishing to tell
Dreams reserved for the coming rain…
This is my farewell
