About a friend taking advantage

How do you tell a friend
that you're about to break?
That their constant neediness
is putting your friendship at stake?
Can you be a friend
and still hold your ground?
Can you give enough
without pulling yourself down?
How much does it take
to say that what I've given is ok?
That to give any more
clearly would be unsafe?
I feel as if I'm milked dry
and they keep coming back for more.
I've had enough of this...
I just don't want to give any more.
I'm tired.
I'm broke.
I'm not a cash cow.
I'm not giving up another damn thing!
It's somebodyelse's turn to pull the plow!
