A poem about a break up that was boring and easy.

The Fall Out

My love left you so long ago.
I could barely stand to touch you.
I quit giving a damn how you felt.
A fall out was sure to ensue.

I should've left long before now,
a little ashamed of myself too.
Disgust is what I feel for you.
What was I trying to hang on to?

But luckily for me,
you felt the same.
You didn't refute
or try to stake your claim.

Shocked am I
at how easy it was.
The task of shaking you off,
an easy one.

The blow up, nonexistent;
the yelling never took place.
No slinging clothes
or breaking things.

So, the fallout, what fall out?
There really wasn't one.
The decision was mutual.
I walked out,
                  and you were done.
