This Story Is Mainly About A girl named Cille who is a slave.
The waterfall that saved the runaway slaves

My name is Cille Johnson my mother Lucy Johnson was a slave in 1892. She was pregnant with me and she still worked. When I was born on January 24,1892 my mother’s master kept me until I was old enough to work on the plantation. I was ten years old and I was working on the plantation with my mother, who was very old. My father Ben Johnson had died when I turned two.
Years had passed and my mother and I were still on the plantation field working harder than ever. We weren’t fed nor given water as often as we would like. We didn’t eat for the simple fact that the master thought by giving us food we would become strong and try to escape. My mother and i didn’t care much for food we were born strong and we were determined to escape also help other slaves escape.
One night we went to our shack and tried to figure out a plan and finally we came up with a perfect escape plan but it was risky. So we all got some rest and when morning came it was time to put the plan in motion. The plan was to take one of the hammers and knock out the master so that he would be unconscious and then steal the keys and open the gate. First when the master comes
Out my mom takes the hammer and knocks him out. Then I take the keys from his pocket and the rest of the slaves tie him up. Although that wasn’t a part of the plan it was a great idea. Next Margret one of the slaves opened the gate and when it opened the view outside was so beautiful that all of us were speechless. We all tried to hurry and get a far distance from the plantation when we saw this beautiful, gorgeous waterfall that had water that was so clear. Everyone rushed over to get a drink of water. Even though the water was refreshing when we drank it everything started to spin and before we could blink we were in a nice big house with food, furniture, and other items. We were all so shocked but for some reason we didn’t care how it happened we were just all so happy that we found a place to live. So everyone had got settled in and my mom cooked rice with chicken and cornbread. After that everyone went to a room and went to bed. But my mom and were still up trying to figure out what had happened. When finally it hit me. When we were all at the waterfall we all could only think about finding a home. I know it sounds crazy but maybe that waterfall is magical. But no one was worried about that and they all lived in the house and no one ever found them.
