A boy dreams of an interesting converstaion with a spider.
Last night I dreamed while in my bed.

Such morbid thoughts ran through my head.

Of love, and loss and things I dread.

but it was just a dream.

I tossed and turned in waking dreams.

My mind ran wild with evil things.

With blips and glips and pongs and pings.

But it was just a dream.

When i awoke I saw a spider.

With a graceful web used as a glider.

He laughed and said to call him strider.

But it was just a dream.

On my lap he sat for days.

He told me stories of foolish ways.

His tale was soothing like ocean waves.

But it was just a dream.

He said i couldnt trust no one.

He told me not to love but one.

Who's eyes would burn me like the sun/

But it was just a dream

Soon my friend grew tired of me.

And disliked spending time with me.

He bade me goodbye with lies for me.

But it was just a dream.

And as I slept, the spider crept.

Through fields of sheets like wind he swept.

And found my still in the place he left.

But it was just a dream.

There was no pain when I felt his bite.

Still I awoke in a wicked fright.

And killed the beast, he knew I might.

But it wasn't just a dream.
