Tobi is taken in for interrogation
Chapter 3

The flashlight shone in my eyes.

“So you say you saw the time before someone was going to die.” Dr. Ericson says to me as I’m laying down on a hospital bed. “You say it’s not a lie and repeatedly try to convince me that you’re not crazy, but you’re telling me all of this as if it has happened to you before? Is there something that you’re keeping from me?”

I never intended to lie to Dr. Ericson, but I knew that not telling my secret wasn’t lying. This time I am going to tell him my secret. I am going to tell him that I see the time above people’s heads before they die. Dr. Ericson rolls around in his Doctor’s chair aiming the light in my ghost white eyes and examining the reflection from my eyes. I know I have to tell him that I’m telling the truth, I have to convince him.

The Police officers are standing outside my Hospital room questioning my Mom, I can only hear a little bit of what they are saying, “Prime suspect. We have to take him in for questioning. We need to know what happened.”

Mom didn’t give them a reply because she also wants to know what happened. If I tell anyone besides Dr. Ericson it will have to be the police, but can I trust them to not tell anyone what I see, or can I trust them not to put me in an insane Asylum? Officer Kyle Black walks into my room with his gun drawn pointed at my head. Dr. Ericson pushes the gun out of my face and glares at him.

“Do you even know who you’re going to shoot yet? You’re pissed off at him because he supposedly killed two women, but you don’t even have proof that he did. All you have is a couple blood samples and those are from Mrs. Bray and Mrs. Roman. There is no sign of resistance against the murderer, no sign that he did it. The boy was in shock for God sakes!” Dr. Ericson said. He is angry, but I don’t know why.

I hold my breath as Officer Black pushes Dr. Ericson back then points the gun at my head again. “You did it you son of a…”

Dr. Ericson pulls Officer Black back towards the wall then glares at him. “You don’t have the right to attack him until you have proof and even then you’re not supposed to attack him!”

Officer Black then grinned, “I have enough proof.”

“Enough proof, what are you saying?”

         “Those damned eyes!”

“We don’t know what his eyes are!” Dr. Ericson screamed back. Officers walk into the room and pull Officer Black away from Dr. Ericson.

“We have to take the boy in for questioning.” Another police officer said. “It’s the only thing we can do to get the information out of him. I don’t care if he’s guilty or not I’m taking him in for questioning because I know he’ll tell us what is going on.”

I wait patiently for them to tell me what I’m going to do. The officers are all lined up at my bed, I move around, but there is an IV stuck in my arm, there is morphine draining into my veins and something else. Water maybe, I don’t know.

Dr. Ericson storms out of my room and approaches my Mom, “The kids out of control!” he yells.

A tear runs down my eyes as a nurse moves in and unhooks my IV.

“Come with us. We’ll question you and then we’ll let you go if we find out that you don’t know anything.” The officer says.

“I don’t know anything. How many times do I have to tell you?”

“We’re going to figure it out for sure.”

They help me up and immediately chain my wrists together with handcuffs, “I think I remember you.” Officer Black says. “You’re that thief that stole from the warehouse. I’m the officer that caught you.” He laughed angrily.

I look up into his yes surprised that he remembers me, then I cower back in fear. I know he remembers me because I still remember that evil grin that placed a certain feeling of fear for the police in my life.

Chapter will be finished shortly, this is just a preview until I get more time to finish it.
