Murmurs

Is anything truly
Silent?

I hear only clocks,
My steady breathing;
Murmurs.

Is there any natural place
Where no birds sing
Where no breeze has stirred,
Where all is calm and
Silent?

Maybe we need noise,
Like warmth around us,
Glowing, rich,
Murmurs?

But if their was no sound,
Would all be desolation?
Is the one thing we should fear
Silence?
