hopefully make it to the end

tears fill my eyes,
darkness surrounds my soul,
happiness once was,
but now my heart is cold.

i have my mind set,
high expectations, bad circumstances,
its what i face every single day,
im just letting you in,
on a secret ive kept locked away.

hoping to trust another person,
too afraid of desertion,
listen to the birds churp,
watch this world revolve
watch my life fade away,as my dreams dissolve.

this life is a gift, some might say,
ive heard it all before ,but cant ignore this struggle i face,
the struggle brings a burden i cant stand,
my problems are all too real, thats why i run away.

so im left with this,this life i live,
hopefully make it to the end,
with all i can give.
